Mask Painting to Express Feelings

16 Dec

Take a look at these incredible masks from the last Therapeutic Creative Expression Workshop I held.  After the warm-up exercise - expressing feelings using color - each participant focused on their own issue/situation/concern using a short meditation and then painted the outside and inside of their mask.

You don’t need a mask to uncover your unconscious feelings. There’s a FREE face template and worksheet with processing questions for you to use on the Tutorial page. (you will have to scroll down a bit)

It’s easy. Try it and send me your pictures!

      Ramesh,
that’s why your poems and writing are powerful because of the images you hold in your mind. You don’t have to know how to “Draw Art” to express them. You use words as your palette.

Very powerful images of the masks. Thank you for the reminder that this is a great project to do with clients. I love activities that get us out of the left brain and into the creative, the unspoken, the subconscious.

      Ruth,
Thanks for taking time to comment. I don’t know if you had a chance to look at the free “process” worksheet but I find that after the unconscious process this is an easy way to bring it to conscious levels without my help. If you have anything to share with others, let me know, I love to spread the word.

Wadda ya say? Comments HERE! (Depending on time, I may not be able to respond to every comment but I READ every word of every comment!)
