Dear My Best Friends,

If you’re new to my blog CreativitytotheMAX here’s a little bit of history to my career as a PoetDogeate and an explanation from My Best Friend Leo at Haiku Heights http://haiku-heights.blogspot.com who has a “LinkyLink Haiku Challenge” every Saturday for all you who want to be a poet like me. (He doesn’t call it “Linky Link” but I embellished a bit since it is reminiscent of how I sign off)

  • Some of my readers, and new writers at Haiku Heights http://haiku-heights.blogspot.com had asked me how to write a proper Haiku.
  • Haiku is Japanese poetry form that has three meaningful lines which are complete and reflecting nature. (Hey Leo, I’m as natural as they get, no clothes, no guile, no prejudice)
  • Haiku have syllabic limitations as well. A traditional one has eleven or seventeen syllables, in a strict 3-5-3 or 5-7-5 format.
  • This week’s prompt is MYSTERY!!!!  http://haiku-heights.blogspot.com

5 syllables —  Try it! Click on link

7 syllables — YOU can write a Haiku too

5 syllables — I will bet on you!

5 syllables — No need to rhyme it

7 syllables — YOU can count on your fingers

5 syllables —   Easier than paws

Lickingly yours, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL (Get it?  “Linky Link”, Licky Lick !)

P.S.  Here’s some of my other masterful Maxaiku posts should you be enough of a scholar to appreciate this ancient Japanese form of CREATIVITY TO THE

There are just too many others to choose from so type in haiku Max in the search box and you’ll see how prolific a poet I am.  Here’s one of my favorites:

    • Dear My VERY BEST Friend Lorraine,
You are a very discerning human – (not to mention an excellent haiku-ist (I just made that word up, maybe they will put it in the next dictionary edition).
You have caught my essence in it’s entirety in your perceptive, and may I say BRILLIANT, haiku.
      Lickingly yours LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    • Dear my New Best friend Melanie,
Thank you for noticing that I am sweet as well as a good poet. You must be a very astute Human.
      Linckingly yours LLLLLLLLLL,

P.S. Your must have meant to write: “Love you dog”. Right? Typos do happen.

  1. Max, not only are you gifted, fun-loving, discerning, poised, photogenic and loving (just a few among thousands of other positive characteristics) … you never fail to make me laugh and lift my spirit when I need it most!

I could just “eat you up”!!! …but don’t tell Tippy, Chloe and Utah … they would be very jealous
    🙂

    Love your slide show ~~~

    • Dear my BEST friend Becca,
You continue to truly be the most sensitive and discerning friend I have. I’m sure you have the same qualities since it takes one to know one. (If you don’t have all those qualities you need to get some.)
      Lickingly yours, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
      Max
      P.S. It’s OUR secret

  2. Doe Max count on his paws??…. the little genius writes perfect haiku!! ………. and those fleas must be a dyslexic lot!! 😀
In Indian mythology the demon king Ravana had ten heads, I’m sure Max will not be him as he has a thousand faces!! 😉

    • Dear My Best Friend in the Whole World Nanka,
You are the MOST discerning friend I’ve ever had to recognize my genius. Others have admired many other of my attributes but you are the first to truly understand the depths and heights of my doggie gifts.
I will look up Ravana who must have been a bit on the doltish side since he needed ten heads to do the work of one.
      Lickingly yours LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
      Max
P.S. I would use a calculator to count but my Human insists I do math the old fashioned way. She’s a bit of a throw-back. (don’t tell her I said that)
P.P. S. Not only are you discerning but you are kind to only call fleas dyslexic. I call them other names which I’m not allowed to repeat in public.
