Dorothy,  E.T. and Me

Yearning to go home

Somewhere over the Rainbow

A sign in the sky

She [Dorothy] muses to Toto “Someplace where there isn’t any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? There must be. It’s not a place you can get to by a boat, or a train. It’s far, far away. Behind the moon, beyond the rain…..”, and begins singing the song.  [Somewhere Over the Rainbow].  Wikipedia

“Before entering the spaceship, E.T. tells Elliott “I’ll be right here”, pointing his glowing finger to Elliott’s forehead. He then picks up the plant Gertie gave him, walks into the spaceship, and takes off, leaving a rainbow in the sky as Elliott watches the ship leave.”  Wikipedia

  1. aloha Judy – fun ku. i like the way you are playing with titles in the first ku. i consider that a relative of “found haiku” – which is fun to do as well.

altho i like the Judy Garland version of Over the Rainbow a lot, i also like the IZ version a lot too. so i had to give his a listen again:

    aloha.
