“. . . it is so easy to feel insecure about our appearance. Whether it is because of the mean comment that comes our way or the photoshopped image we see in magazines, it can be so easy to feel self-conscious about our body. When was the last time you felt comfortable in your own skin?”
“We are so excited to share with you our newest 50 people 1 question short – Comfortable. We hope that this video will inspire you to be more comfortable and confident in yourself. Beauty is not about what you don’t have, but about being comfortable in your own skin.“
I am thankful for
Not having been given the freedom
To choose my face, God,
I would have been
Tempted to copy that too
Or picked up
Pieces from the best looks
Here and there…
Love the kids comments and hope that body ‘concerns’ won’t be so prominent when they grow up.

My guess is that those children’s ‘concerns’ will change in pre-adolescense. They should all travel with you and take a look at what other cultures value. As a matter of fact EVERYONE should see the world through your eyes!!!!!!

Kathy,
Your comment is right on! I was thinking the same thing. According to the video we must name the body part that would create the “fitness”!!! I wonder if INTERNAL organs count?

Hi Judy… This is wonderful.. and no, I am comfortable being able to walk tall at 5 -4.. and scar on my forehead reminds me of a childhood full of mini- adventures.. I share a poem I had written on my blog:
I am thankful for
Not having been given the freedom
To choose my face, God,
I would have been
Tempted to copy that too
Or picked up
Pieces from the best looks
Here and there…
I had written in on my blog on Novemebr 21, 2011 after I found a friend criticising his own looks…
Thanks for a lovely post.. I hope you will visit my latest Friday Haiku..I don’t know why I think that is among my own most favourites.. Keep inspiring please..
