Stroppy and the Astronaut, Part II

I can’t believe I’m actually going to do this, I thought, as I wrote Stroppy and the Astronaut, part II  for this writing challenge from Esther Newton.  The sentence (in red) has to be included somewhere in the story:

Stroppy eyed her lonely astronaut tethered next to her in space I can’t believe I’m actually going to do this, she thought. Now that we’ve nuzzled it’s time. She bit cleanly through his safety tether and taking his gloved hand in hers pointed the jet thruster toward home. With a twinkle in her eye and terror in his, they zoomed off into the vacuum of space to meet Mom and Dad.

Bob Blobfish sez: ". . . I can’t believe she actually wrote this, he thought. . . "
Bob Blobfish: “. . . I can’t believe she actually wrote this, he thought. . . “

          1. I’d love to say yes, but Albert doesn’t have one. There’s no reason why Jarvis shouldn’t manifest one, though, is there?
Not that one would be needed for travel inside Jarvis, although you have now sown a seed…

  1. Whew, read your blog fast and my brain suggested that the Blob Fish was Stroppy’s Mom and Dad…alien indeed!

Could incorporate a classic rock song theme in a future chapter with “Hang on Stroppy” (would have to pronounce Stroppy to rhyme with ‘poopee’).

    1. Shari B-P,
Although Bob the Blobfish does appreciate your acknowledgement that he made your day he is rather taken aback at how you labeled him. He wants you to know he is a fine specimen and considered quite handsome among other Blobfish.
