This is awesome! Nice work, Judy!! 😍Love all the colors… totally captured the Pink Lady! But really… you must get other the urge to eat your models when returning to figure drawing or it could get awkward. 😉hehe
Love the shadow – very observant of you to get all that color in there. That’s a gala apple, right? My favorite. Yours looks yummy and from what I can see of what’s left, it was yummy.
Colored pencils are lotsa fun to work with, play well with other pencils (OK, they blend well,) travel easily, and make no mess.
You could make grocery shopping the fall guy for your art attraction. “But I had to buy the pineapple, mango, grapes, sweet potato, raspberries, carrots, garlic……..for my art class.”
BTW, I painted a garlic bulb once – what a lovely veggie it is, and it sat for its portrait without a sigh of complaint.
You make me see why art is so appealing to people, Judy. It reminds me of an art-loving character in a series I just finished.

Jacqui,
Art, in any form – writing, drawing, dancing, knitting etc. – is appealing because it creates mindfulness in the best sense.

Thanks Charlie O’!!!!! for both the compliment and the warning.
Does one have to become a vegan if one wants to be an artist?

Lol… nope… vegan is just too restrictive. As long as you stay away from cannibalism, you’re good.

Shari,
It’s a Pink Lady Apple – only she wasn’t very pink or in the pink after I bit her. Did you eat the garlic?
