I woke this morning feeling like a truck hit me, threw me onto the train tracks where I was run over by a locomotive.
AND lo and behold . . .
. . . today is National Fibromyalgia Day. I’m in no mood to celebrate but the Fibro-Fiends that dwell inside me are having a ball!
I’m too tired to write an entirely new post to post on this post so I’ll just post part of a post of a post that I posted sometime ago. . . . .
“I look normal, I act normal (relatively normal). However, I feel exhausted much of the time, my body aches from head to toe and my brain sometimes has trouble remembering or concentrating. Please don’t tell me to exercise more, eat better, try acupuncture or go to a new doctor. After 20 years I’ve tried just about everything there is to try that I can afford, swallow or legally do.”
“I don’t even care anymore what you call it: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, malingering . . . it’s just tiring being tired much of the time. I push through it otherwise I’d have no life. But the price for pushing can be days of crashing so I pick and choose my commitments.”
There’s a free on-line Fibromyalgia Summit. If you’re interested in hearing the presentations click here: http://www.healthrising.org/blog/2016/05/11/three-days-may-fibromyalgia-summit-almost/

Confidential: Send me your prayers because tomorrow I’m leaving for an Unitarian Woman’s Retreat where I’m facilitating 2 workshops. (I am not planning on taking my Fibro-Fiends with me. Please don’t tell anyone because if the Fiends get wind I want to leave them home they will be angry . . . very angrrrrrrrrry . . .)
Sorry to hear you are still having issues after you retired. I was hoping, & praying for you, that you would improve once you weren’t ‘fixing’ everyone else & had more time to focus on your healing. Will continue me to pray for Healing & you will feel so much better. ❌⭕️❌😘

Linda,
I can use all the prayers anyone can give! Thank you, my dear friend, for the messages to God. I think I’ve improved a bit with stamina but these kind of flares are part and parcel of fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue. Until they figure out what exactly is happening in the brain-body and how to treat it flares will continue. My “task” is to accept the downs with the ups. Accept is the word NOT like.

Tell your fibro friends the party is over and it’s time to go home—somebody else’s home..

Thanks Carol! I’m sure it will calm down – it always does . . . before the next flare!

Yuck. I remember going to a doctor for my migraines. He said I should be able to work with headaches–he did. I never went back.
Take care of yourself, girlfriend.

Jacqui,
Should be able to work with migraines!!! That doctor should try working with his “private parts” encircled with tight rubber bands that cut off his circulation . . .
Thanks Jacqui!

I wish I’d thought of that as I sat open-mouthed disbelieving in his office.

REALLY? The idiot was able to work while throwing up? In complete darkness, with no sound, and no movement so they didn’t aggravate the condition even worse? With the shakes and sweats from the pain? Methinks poor little bobble headed MD had a bit of head tic. Migraines – you can barely breathe through them.

I’m guessing he had a migraine during my appointment and was in a lousy mood.

Can’t click the LIKE button for this one. So very sorry about this, Not fair, just not fair to be in so much pain, so tired, frustrated and fed up.
You know I’m wishing you recovery and a pain free life, Judy.

Shari B-P,
It just came outa nowhere. I HOPE it wasn’t related to the 1/2 gallon of ice cream I ate in two days and the Fibro-Fiends thinking it was a party. I’ve been really good staying away from sugar but I will admit it’s my drug of choice.
Thanks for your well wishes, my friend.
